If I'd have just taken her table a part and installed the new Simonis cloth, put it all back together again.and called the job done.then I'd be endorsing the wrongs that the factory did.and therefore no better than them.Īll Golden West pool tables have a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. I feel that being a Professional requires a little more than just being able to work on pool tables should also require the backbone to stand up for the customer, and be their voice to make things right if at all possible. I honestly believe that if it were anyone else working on her pool table, nothing would have gotten done to correct all the things wrong with her pool table.BUT, being the person that I am.I was not going to stand by and bear witness to someone getting screwed like that.not with the factory being involved.and so close. I hear you Jay.building tables for 40 years, and three generations now.as was explained to me by Rob.I guess the current owner of Goldenwest mfg.which even makes it hard to believe they've been manufacturing tables for that long.and STILL can't get it right, or UNDERSTAND that you DON"T treat customers like they did Katie. Is that what "Made in America" really means anymore.to lie and cheat your customers.in order to make a buck! An apology would have been a good start.as that wouldn't have cost them a dime! It really embarrassed me when someone says, "Made in America" about their product.as if that's suppose to mean something special.and then pull this kind of crap kind of makes me wonder what made in America means any more, when the Chinese can build better pool tables than this That's why I don't really care where a pool table is built.just as long as it's built RIGHT, and the manufacturer stands behind that product 100%.instead of their first response being."we're not responsible for that table".and, "it didn't come from us".yet it has THEIR name plate on the head rail.and the sales receipt clearly indicates that it DID As long as consumers allow this kind of treatment as customers, nothing in this industry is going to change. I'm still pretty pissed over this whole deal.at the very least.Goldenwest should have offered to pick up the bill on her table for all the work I did.because it should have been right in the first eings how the table came straight from the factory 1 mile from Katie's house.and their factory mechanics were used during the initial setup. Rob.you shouldn't have treated her like she was a nobody.and like I didn't know shit about pool wrong on your part, and NO customer deserves to be deceived like your company deceived her.and then treated like.your company was NOT at fault! If she says nothing more about this.then I'll let this thread go, but if she does.and would like an explanation of what was all wrong with her pool table.then I'll help her explain it. I'm hot right now, though it's not really my place to say something.but, I'm going to open this post as a way of providing an upfront.main forum.invitation to Katie Girl.to express her views on the customer service she received from your company. What bothers me the most.is that you didn't even offer her an apology for the screw ups made by your 40 year.third generation company. I'm very.very upset at the way you treated my customer Katie Girl.with the pool table you sold her 19 months ago, and what I had to go through to make it right with her.Rob, all I can say is.it wasn't enough that you built new rails for her table.and it wasn't enough that you had your guys come out and replace the slates on her table.and that I had to replace them again.AFTER that as well.
